Photo Print: Blue river by Peter Svoboda

I was waiting for melting ice on the Bela river this winter. After freezing weeks it was completely covered by snow and ice.There is a lot of water usually and banks are full of wild growing bushes.Hard to find appropriate composition on the place.I found a peace of solitary ice in the middle of the stream after few days of temperature above the zero. Some parts of the image were exposed separately because of high dynamic range of this scene. Lower part was dark due to coming twilight while using just a single exposure,except reflections on the water surface. Mt Krivan(on the picture) is the first dominant mountain if we are looking from the west on the High Tatras mountains.It is a symbol of Slovak nation, recently appears for example on Slovak Euro coin. From 19 century is the unofficial symbol of Slovakia. Between 1960 to 1990 is shown with a bonfire on the character of Slovakia and on the national emblem of CzechoSlovakia.
