Photo Print: Fishermen by Carlos Germán Romero
These three fishermen were just about to leave the shore of lake Malawi in their next fishing journey. They use to spend several hours each day paddling their canoe (and bailing water from inside) in search of a suitable place to cast their nets. Canoes like this are the most common means of transport between the villages arround the lake. They are made in one piece from a single hollowed tree trunk.
