Photo Print: Dreamatorium by Paulo Abrantes

This is a night shot made at the entry of the subway in Lisbon. I was there killing time for dinner and I was trying to do some different composition approaches with that very well know main entrance. It΄s a very busy one, just because it is in the middle of the main Lisbon square, near the riverside, the commerce square, where the government buildings are. With that composition purpose I walk away from that entrance more than the usual, and placed myself in the very beginning of the handrail wich begins a few metters from the stairs. From there I realized that with a low p.o.v. I would take out the stairs of the frame and I would be able to compose with just the handrail and the human figure, turning the picture more moody and enigmatic, as I wanted from the beginning. After setting the composition and the camera adjustments, the hard part was waiting for the "right person" with the "right body language". As usual it took me some time waiting and several not so good shots but in the end this woman showed up and I thought she had the perfect profile, figure, to match the visual reading of the hanrail in that perpective and pov.
