Photo Print: Bedtime Lullabies by Paulo Abrantes

This is a shot taken in a Opeth live show in the Vagos Open Air Festival, in Portugal. It΄s a great 3 days long Festival, in full throtle mode, and like old times, amateur photographers, like me, have no problem to shoot from the begining until the end of the show in front of the stage. The only problem is that being just an amateur you have to go early to keep and save your place in front of the stage and this means that I had to stay still in the spot, since 04.00PM to 03.00AM. Live shows usually begin at 06.00PM and go non stop until 03.00 so it was a 09 hours of non stop heavy metal "splash" and a 11 hours in the same spot to keep the place in front of the stage and be able to make some shots - and make the shots, that is, actually just press the shutter, is the real hard part, because your are in the midle of the mosh fans, stage diving fans, stage jumping fans, crowd surfing fans, crowd batle fans..., and so on... and most of the time you are just trying not to move too much and keep your gear safe. But in the end is highly rewarding, because you bring some shots home, and with some luck some of them will be great.
