Photo Print: Wicked Game by Paulo Abrantes

This is a pure street shot done in a very sunny day, with very strong winds, in Figueira da Foz Beach, Portugal. They were doing these new beach sport facilities and this one, actually, was closed with some fences because it was not finished yet. What called my atention right away were all those so many lines with so many colors and the new ink contrasting with the ground new red floor. My first idea was to make some compositions with that geometric space. Suddenly when I was arriving to the place a man walks into the field and just lay down there to take some sun. When I arrived close to the spot, from the sidewalk above I saw the weird position of the person regarding to the middle field line and I shot some pictures with this composition idea in mind. I ended not to shoot the pictures I wanted because the man did not walked away and stood there for a long time. The hard part was just that it was not very wise to get more close to make this kind of picture and the strong winds, with nothing to hold and lean on, were making very hard to get the camera steady.
